So, I made a mistake. I bought about 10k "instant followers" last week because I was desperate to get my photography account noticed. Now, my account seems to be getting zero reach, and I've even gotten a warning from Instagram about "inauthentic activity." Some of the followers I bought are already gone. I'm freaking out. Is my account going to be banned? What can I do to recover from this?

Oof, sorry you're going through this. Buying Instant Instagram followers can seem tempting, but it often backfires—especially if the followers are low quality. Instagram’s algorithm is smart, and once it detects inauthentic activity, it can seriously limit your reach or worse. Since you’ve already received a warning, I’d suggest removing fake followers manually (or using a cleanup tool), stop any further purchases, and focus on rebuilding trust through organic engagement. Post consistently, engage with real users, and consider a short break to reset your reach. It’s recoverable, but it takes time and effort.

That sounds really tough—Instagram is strict about fake followers, and warnings aren’t to be taken lightly. Removing fake followers and stopping purchases is smart. Focus on real engagement by posting quality content and interacting with genuine users. A short break to reset your account’s activity might help too. Recovery is possible but requires patience and consistent effort. Hang in there!
